All persons renting, loaned, entrusted or operating a motorized “vessel” must be at least 25 years of age and possess a valid and current driver’s license.

We offer a variety of land tours and water cruises). Our most popular land tours are the River-to-Rock Adventure Tour and the River-to-Battlefield Journey Tour. Our most popular water cruises are the Karaoke Swim It or Sing It, the River Gorge Cruise, and Sunset Cruise and the Dam Lock History Cruise (Lock experience included).

Yes, you can bring your own alcohol. The driver must refrain from drinking and remain sober. Must be 21 and older and obey all laws.

For tours, wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for walking and outdoor activities. Bring a poncho, rain jacket, or windbreaker. For cruises, wear casual, comfortable attire suitable for relaxing on the water. Bring a light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings. For swimming, bring beach attire, swimsuits, or vacation-type clothing and towels.

No, you must provide your own towel.

If your tour guide did a good job, we recommend tipping between $30 and $50 per group.

The cost of gas for Chattanooga VIP Tours is charged at the conclusion of your trip based on the fuel used. On average, the gas costs are as follows:

  • For a 1-5 passenger boat: $30
  • For a 1-8 passenger boat: $45
  • For the 20-22 passenger fleet: $130


These averages are based on the fuel cost as of July 2024.

For small boats, the total weight capacity is 850 pounds per group. For the larger boat, the total weight is 1,350 pounds per group.

Children should be four years old or older. Guests should be in good physical health, able to board and disembark from the boat, walk up and down stairs, and endure long periods of walking. For the battlefield tour, guests should be prepared to walk the battlefield. For the Rock City tour, the ability to navigate stairs and walk for extended periods is necessary. If you plan to swim, you must be able to swim and be in good physical health to swim back and forth to the boat.

Yes, each boat is equipped with a Bluetooth radio ready for the customer to connect and play their own music on tours. On the karaoke tour, we provide a different type of radio and play suggested songs for singing.

Yes, each group can bring their own food and snacks. We recommend bringing easy-to-eat items such as sandwiches, chips, fruits, vegetables, and other convenient snacks suitable for a boat trip.

Yes, each customer is responsible for bringing one to two bags of ice if cold drinks are desired. Chattanooga VIP Tours does provide coolers at no charge.

There are no restrooms on board. We ask that guests use the restroom before boarding.

The tour guide will not be on your boat. Instead, the guide will be on a jet ski leading your Sea-Doo Switch boats. Each group will have their own boat, making you the captain of your own vessel, while the tour guide navigates and leads the tour from the jet ski.

Hookah is only available on our cruises as an add-on for $29.99 per hookah. You must be 21 or older to use it, and we use non-tobacco products. Typically, one hookah is normally enough for one group, with four mouth attachments included for individual use.

Each tour is four hours long, consisting of two hours on the river and two hours on land. The cruises are three hours long.

Our tours depart from downtown Chattanooga, Once booked, you’ll be provided with a meeting point location.

Yes, for private tours and private events, you will be required to book the entire fleet of boats. Please contact us directly for more details and to make arrangements.

Our tours at VIP Tours operate rain or shine. We will only cancel in case of severe weather and will issue a full refund. Additionally, you have 48 hours prior to embarkation before your tour or cruise can be cancelled for a full refund.

We ask that you arrive at least 15 min early. We have to be mindful of our other guests schedules and time, thus we cannot wait for those arriving late, and no refunds will be provided. We hope you understand.

Pets are not allowed on tours or cruises.

Yes, paid parking is available. Free parking is also available nearby.

We will communicate any cancellations due to severe weather issues. If you have concerns, you should reach out to us to determine any next steps.

You should bring sunscreen, sunglasses, ice, towels, snacks, drinks, and water.

Unfortunately at this time, our facilities and boats are not Handicap accessible.
